General note
The St. Lawrence United Church was built on Concession 18 on the property of Capt. Banford in 1874. It was built as a Methodist Church and later changed to a United Church. The porch and steeple were added in 1895. On July 30, 1957 lightening struck the steeple and fire destroyed the church.
