Historique
INQ: Independent News of Queen's was published weekly between January to May 1993 with a circulation 11,000 issues across Kingston and area. INQ was a newspaper that attempted to approach both local and international news through unbiased perspective or without political affiliation. Part of this governing idea was to be funded independently from Queen's University student activity fees and other government institutions. INQ was published by a separate incorporated business that was run by the editors and the business. This allowed them to maintain control over ownership of the newspaper. During its 14 week run, INQ covered a wide range of topics from international news, sporting events and entertainment. Though publishing consistently, by end of May 1993, INQ faced financial difficulty and ended due to its continued refusal to integrate with Alma Mater Society.
