Biographical history
John E. Nelligan was born 19 June 1920. He entered Queen's University and graduated in 1942, with a B.Sc. (Chem.). John Nelligan served in the Canadian army in World War II, but returned to Queen's to earn a second B.Sc. (Met.) in 1948.

Scope and content
The collection contains ten photographs of Nelligan related to his attendance at Queen's and five which depict Dennis Jordan (executor of the Stauffer estate) in the 1990s. Textual records are related to Nelligan's service in World War II, or Jordan's life.
