Dr. Ernest Sparks was a dental surgeon who served with Queen's Hospital in the First World War.

The fonds consists of photographs relating to the Queen's Hospital in Cairo in World War 1, showing local and military life and field hospital scenes. Also includes postcards showing images from Le Tréport, Étaples-sur-mer, Boulogne-sur-mar, Verdun and Somme before and after the First World War.
