Geschichte

David B. Greenspan was born on May 23, 1937 at Toronto, the son of Max and Rose (Kirshenblatt) Greenspan. Mr. Greenspan received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Toronto in 1958 and a Bachelor of Law degree from Osgoode Hall in 1962. In 1968 Mr. Greenspan was Chairman of the Ontario Committee for Paul Hellyer at the National Liberal Leadership Convention held in Ottawa in April of that year. During the 1970's and 1980's Mr. Greenspan acted as counsel for several government bodies including the Special Parliamentary Committee on Election Expenses (1971) and the Federal-Provincial Task Force on Land Prices (1978). From 1986 to 1989 he was Chairman of the Ontario Housing Corporation. He was Adjunct Professor, School of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Waterloo from 1971 to 1976. From 1973 to 1975 he was a lecturer in the Urban Planning Programme, Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. Mr. Greenspan was author of "Power to Earth" (1978) and numerous articles on planning law, zoning, the politics of affordable housing and topical political issues. He has spoken at several Canadian and United States forums on such topics including land development.
