File consists of a recording of Elizabeth Bagshaw. Topics of the conversation include secret decision to study medicine; registration with male students at U of T. medical school. Drs. Stowe, Trout, Henderson, Cullen. Father's death; co-practice in Toronto with Dr. Skinner Gordon. Removal to Hamilton, 1906, as fill-in for Mabel Henderson. Rental horse-and-rig for housecalls; playing tricks on horse-proud Jack Griffith. Use of bicycle for frequent night-calls, maternity calls; VON assistance at home births. Depression period; establishment of birth control clinic, 1932. Adoption of John, despite restrictive adoption policies (no single women, women over 40). Disapproval of unmarried co-habitation, too many abortions.
