Biographical history
William Pratt (1872-1953), a manager with the Bank of Montreal, was born in Dealgrove, Leix, Ireland. He immigrated to Canada in 1890, and married Sidney E. Brown of London, Ontario in 1903. As a manager with the bank, he worked in Revelstoke, British Columbia; Owen Sound, Waterloo, London and Gananoque, Ontario. He retired in 1935, making Kingston, Ontario his home for the remainder of his life.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of photographs of winter activities, sketch books, newspaper clippings and souvenir booklets from various cities in Canada. Included are images of the Bank of Montreal in London, Ontario from the 1890s, snowshoing expeditions and a picnic in the early 1900s, and Revelstoke, British Columbia. Also included are sketchbooks by J. Brown of lanndscapes in 1841.
