Biographical history
Born Wilda Viola Baker in Livonia, New York, she graduated from Queen's University at Kingston, Ont. with a B.A. in 1943. During her time at Queen's she was President of the Levana Society.
She is also a former President of both the Queen's National Alumni, and National Alumnae, Associations; and has also served as a member of the University's Board of Trustees and this body's Executive Committee.
