General note
The 'Frontenac' entered service in June 1817, transporting passengers and freight between Prescott, Kingston,Ernestown,Newcastle,York, Niagara and Burlington. The life of the 'Frontenac' was short. The Hon.Robt. Hamilton bought her at auction in 1825 and vandals set her on fire in the Niagara River in 1827. Her British engines were recovered for use in the 'Alciope'.
