Sergeant Richard Ringer was a British soldier who fought in Spain, France and North America.

Fonds consists of a diary relating to Ringer's service in the British Army, 1813 Aug. 30-1814 Dec. 14. The diary covers the Battle of Plattsburgh, as well as battles in the Spanish Penninsula towards the end of the Penninsular Wars. Includes a photocopy of the diary, typed transcript and related articles.
