Biographical history
George Pringle was the son of James Pringle, a Justice of the Peace of Cornwall. He attended Queen's University in Arts from 1849 to 1850 and obtained a medical degree later from McGill. He took further medical training in England during 1857 and 1858.

The fonds consists of correspondence from George Pringle in England during 1857 and 1858 where he was taking further medical training to his mother and father in Cornwall and to his wife in Peterborough. There are also letters to Mrs. George Pringle from her father and mother and later from his children.
