Sesquicentennial RMC Parade Part 1

Part 1. Main Speakers: Commodore Murray, Agnes Benedickson. Location: Near Theological Hall. Begins with clips of a marching band playing, followed by Commodore Murray talking about sharing and co-operation between RMC and Queen's. Benedickson then takes the stage and talks about a plaque donated by RMC commemorating Queen's anniversary. The plaque is then unveiled and a representative of the chaplain says a prayer.

Queen's Great Debate at Homecoming 2007

Debate Topic: Climate change and the viability of the Kyota Accord. Main Speakers: Jane Taber, Elizabeth May, Buzz Hargrove. Video begins with Hitchcock introducing the homecoming debate topic before passing off to Taber who moderates the debate. Debate begins by May debating why Canada should hurry to fulfill the Kyoto Protocol, while Hargorve argues against. Afterwards, Taber asks each of the debaters 3 questions followed by another short debate between the two. Afterwards the debaters take questions from the audience for the remainder of the video.

Beamish-Munro Hall - Grand Opening Ceremony

Main Speaker(s): Tom Harris, Dr William Leggett, Dr James McCowen. Location: Beamish-Munro Hall. Opens with shots panning through Beamish-Munro. Harris introduces Dr Leggett, who talks about the building of Beamish-Munro. Harris then returns to the podium and speaks about how the hall will affect future Applied Science students. He announces there will be an award named after Dr McCowen, who takes the podium and talks about the building. Harris then calls up the Mayor of Kingston and two past students who each give their thanks to the Beamish and Munro families. Robert Beamish and Don Munro are then each called up to give brief speeches.

Botterell Hall Opening/Dedication

Main Speaker(s): Roland Michener, Ronald Watts, William Davis, A. Marshall Laverty, Harry Botterell. Location: Botterell Hall. Begins with Michener thanking the people involved with the building of the hall and welcoming the speakers and audience. Watts takes the podium and talks about the planning of the building. Afterwards Davis talks on behalf of the government of Ontario. Laverty then says a prayer. Botterell thanks the building committee for their hard work.

Main Speaker(s): David Smith, Helen Cooper, Frances Lankin, Dave Cooke. Location: Outside, near the future location of the Bioscience Complex. Begins with Smith welcoming the audience, before introducing Cooper. Cooper then goes into further detail of the important contributers to the Bioscience Complex before introducing Lankin, who speaks a little on the Kingston economy and the provincial government's recent decisions involving local jobs. Cooke speaks further on the jobsOntario program. Afterwards Lankin talks about the government's relationship with the university. Smith then thanks the government representatives for their contribution to the university.
