Begins with procession entering the hall. University chaplain opens with a prayer, then Benedickson welcomes everyone and declares Smith principal of Queen's University. Smith then addresses the convocation with a speech. Afterwards Norton speaks on behalf of the provincial government in regards to the appointment. Smith then presents Jill Ker Conway, William McNeill, Henry Rosovsky, Erich Vogt, and Ronald Watts with an honourary doctorate of laws. Dr Rosovsky then addresses the convocation, after which the chaplain says a closing prayer.

Main Speaker: Brain Yealland, Dr Thomas R. Williams. Location: potentially Grant Hall. Yealland opens the convocation with a prayer, then Dr Williams is installed as principal and vice-chancellor of Queen's University. He is then robed by representatives of the Queen's community. Afterwards Dr Williams delivers a speech to the audience.

Part 1: Dr Angnes Benedickson. Location: Grant Hall. Video begins with footage of procession filing into Grant Hall. Dr Benedickson is appointed chancellor, and then delivers a speech. Thomas Berger, Sidney Robert Blair, Brian Dickson, Robert Dunsmore are all presented with an honourary doctorate of laws.

Part 2. Dr Brian Dickson, Keith Norton. Dr Dickson gives a speech to the convocation congradulating Dr Benedickson and thanking her for his doctorate, as well as talking about Canadian history. Norton speaks on behalf of the premier of Ontario. Representatives form other universities come up and congratulate Dr Benedickson.

Next is Rosemary who speaks further on this relationship. Then Khaled speaks on the war in his country, Afghanistan. Afterwards Peter talks about troubles in Nicaragua. Next Dianna speaks about what life as a native Ojibwe in Canada is like. June then talks about education problems in the Philippines. Finally, Ron speaks about what Canadians can do to help those in troubled countries.
