He also introduces the future presentations in the conference.

Video is a paper presented by Watson on the current consumer's view of Canadian health care, comparing and contrasting that with the provincial government's plan for innovating health care. She describes the effect cutbacks are having on both the consumer and the government's plan for the future. She also offers some suggestions as to how the government should innovate and improve Canadian health care, as well as suggestions for consumers regarding health care.

Video is of a paper delivered by Decter on the Ministry of Health's views in regards to current health care policies, as well as the ministry's plan for health care going into the future. He also talks about current disagreements regarding health care within the government.

Main Speaker(s): Amelita Armit. Video is of a paper presented by Armit on the current relationship between the federal and provincial government regarding health care, and the potential ways that relationship could evolve in the future. She also provides a history of the legislation that lead to the current provincial-federal relationship.

Video is of a paper by Deber on the issues with the current provincial health care policies, as well as the problems facing any changes to the current system. She also discusses the areas of health care policy currently managed by the ferdal governnet, including the areas which they are attempting to remove themselves form.

Main Speaker(s): Christel Woodward, Lyn Curry. Location: Lecture hall. Video is a presentation of a project by the Ministry of Health. They propose a 'smart' health card which contains a microscopic chip as a personal, portable health record of the carrier. Video begins with Woodward describing the feasability of the proposed project. Afterwards Curry goes further in-depth into the features of the card, as well as her evaluation of the card.

Main Speaker(s): Jeri Harmsen, Jack Henderson. Location: Agnes Etherington Art Centre. Edited video created to advertise the new Agnes Etherington exhibit called Hear to See, which was comprised of 6 viewing areas with a couch and a telephone. The couch allowed a visitor to view art in comfort, and the telephone would play facts about the painting before the couch. Additional material such as articles would be placed on a coffee table before the couch.

Video was created to advertise the Agnes Etherington exhibit Hear to See II, which was created over 3 years after the original. Visitors would begin in an anteroom, which contained several art magazines and telephones that would play information on contemporary art. The main exhibit contained 6 different booths, each with a piece of artwork, a couch, and a telephone. The telephone would play comments on the artwork by the artist.
