United Empire Loyalist phenomenon; subject's attachment to monarchy, disapproval of Levesque, Quebec separatist movement. Educational root of Quebec's problems: too many professionals, too few businessmen. Bilingual policy problems. Poor parent-child relations in today's materialistic society. WWI: subject's initial desire to return home; radio mania, inability to escape news of developments. Town collection of relief funds during Depression; trusting strangers then as one does not now. Volunteer work.
