The fonds consists of correspondence, printed articles, photographs and minutes of the Canadian Council of Agriculture, 1911-1922. The correspondence is primarily with T.A. Crerar, Norman Lambert and R.S. Law. The fonds contains a great deal of information on western history from 1900 to 1935, particularly with regard to the political activities of the Progressives. Chipman's horticultural interests are also clearly shown.
