The fonds consists of a typescript of Cataraqui, Fort Frontenac, Kingstown, Kingston : book; articles relating to several aspects of Kingston's history, including the Gildersleeve family, the schools and law offices of Sir John Alexander Macdonald, early fire regulations and volunteer fireman. Also includes the addenda to Horsey's Kingston, containing letters, maps and manuscripts.
The album, which was copied in 2000, contains photographs of: the Grass/Ellerbeck farm house and barn on Hillview Road, Collins Bay; Sydenham High School (ca. 1900); the light house and goats on Brother's Island; and an early shot of the Kingston airport being constructed (1939).
