The fonds consists of research notes, manuscripts and correspondence relating to Dr. Osser's work as a researcher in psychology, education and medicine. His research covered the the general topics of cultural beliefs of patients and doctors, comprehension of literature and mathematics, and clinical interviewing methods. Included are lecture notes, conference papers and published articles. The fonds consists of British War Office's forms for Commitment to Military Prison, photographs taken by an unknown photographer of sights and scenes in Kingston and area and newspaper clippings relating to various events in Kingston and district that have some historical significance. There are also files and photographs relating to the Loyal Orange Order in Kingston, a Kingston Christmas parade, the Foucault Pendulum at Queen's, a catalogue of St. Andrew's Church members in 1981 and three portraits of an unidentified woman, taken by C.H. Boyes of Kingston.
The collection consists of original and copied material assembled for research in the publication of 'Enzyme Solution: The Story of Ensol' by Robert and Katherine Connell Crothers. The majority of the material reflects the activities undertaken by the Hendry-Connell Research Foundation between 1935 and 1951, in the patent and research process of producing and administering Ensol as a cancer treatment. There is a small amount of material reflecting the writing and research process of producing the book. The collection consists of three series: Correspondence; Publications and Reports; and, Subject files.
The fonds consists of subject files including his time as a pilot in the Royal Naval Air Service, and his escape from Stalag 3 (Holzminden, Germany) by tunnelling underground; photographs including family and family events, World War One, and his time as an engineer working in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
