The fonds consists primarily of financial and administrative documents pertaining to the running of the organization and inlcudes Board minutes, audited yearly accounts, position descriptions, grant applications and fundraising materials. There is a large portion of material surrounding the relocation to the Princess Court space downtown that includes architects tenders, plans, proposals and financial cost estimates. There is a smaller amount of material pertaining to the film programming that ran in the theatre, including programmes and a card catalogue of the films screened and the attendance at each screening.

Fonds consists of a bound volume entitled "Bliss Carman Letters and Memories", put together by Grace Fewster, and consisting of typescripts of original letters from Bliss Carman to Dr. Ernest and Grace Fewster between 1920 - 1929. Included is a typescript letter from Lorne Pierce to the Fewsters recounting his visit to New Canaan, New Brunswick, to attend Bliss Carman's funeral.

The fonds consists of correspondence, lecture notes, speeches, articles, and memoirs as Professor of Astronomy and Dean of Women (1939-59) at Queen's University; President of the International Federation of University Women. Included is an article by Vibert Douglas titled, "Symbols in Stone" which was printed in the Queen's Alumni Review August, 1952. Also included is correspondence with Albert Einstein and others concerning Sir Arthur Eddington.

The fonds consists of letterbooks, journals, ledgers, blotters, court dockets and registry office books that reflect the business of the law firm in handling estates and cases for their impressive list of clients. The papers reflect the input of all the major partners in the business since it's inception and include Thomas Kirkpatrick, George A. Kirkpatrick, R. Vachon Rogers, W.F. Nickle and John Macaulay. Of particular interest is an account book recording lots in Wolfe Island sold by C.W. Grant, fifth Baron de Longueuil. Individual records of various estates handled by the firm have been arranged and described as sous-fonds.

Fonds consists of correspondence; subject files, including those relating to the founding of the firm by Thomas Kirkpatrick in 1828, and its centenary celebrations, plus the life of long-time Kingston lawyer, Joseph Boomer Walkem; photographs; and a scrapbook of clippings relating to W.F. Nickle. Of particular interest are the files relating to the principalship of Queen's University in the 1930s. Also includes the official report from the Dominion Liberal Convention of 1893.
