Scrapbook relates to the restoration of United Empire Loyalist burial grounds. It includes correspondence, reports, photographs, and architecture plans for the restoration of the burial grounds.
The fonds consists of correspondence and records of the United States Department of State, Department of the Navy and the Office of the Secretary of War. Included are records of the negotiations connected with the Treaty of Ghent, correspondence and dispatches from U.S. ministers to Great Britain, letters received from officers and from captains, and miscellaneous letters.
The collection includes reports of the Department of State from U.S. consular representatives in Montreal. The despatches are replies to consular instructions. It contains reports on a wide range of subjects dealing with economic, political, and social conditions abroad in addition to routine matters. Despatches are sometimes accompanied by enclosures, such as copies of correspondence between consuls and local Government officials, U.S. diplomatic representatives, other consuls, U.S. naval officers commanding naval vessels or squadrons stationed in foreign waters, and U.S. citizens abroad. Despatches also include information on commercial and other regulations, navigation law, exports and imports, duties and tariffs, censuses, cases of U.S. citizens tried abrad and appeals for help, and the reaction of foreign people to U.S. policies.

The fonds consists of records of both Land Commissions including reports, indexes, minute books of Heir and Devisee Commission sittings, claims documentation (notices, affidavits, certificates) and Commission rulings. The records of the two commissions are arranged differently. The first Heir and Devisee Commission is arranged by geographical location, organized by the names of the old districts. Within the districts, the files are arranged alphabetically by surname. The files of the second Heir and Devisee Commission have been indexed and arranged alphabetically by surname, with date of claim. There are five reels of name indexes.
The fonds consists of the records of the Land Board for the old districts of Hesse, Nassau, Leneburg and Mecklenburg. The minutes and correspondence of, instructions to and reports by the Land Boards form a single series. The records include documents antedating the establishment of the Land Boards which were brought forward in support of applications for grants, and a few records of later date.
