Fonds reflects the architectural practice of William Coverdale and his son William Miles Coverdale and is comprised of correspondence, financial records, design submissions and specifications, estimates, and reports relating various projects including the Criminal Lunatic Asylum, better known as Rockwood Asylum at Kingston, Ontario. Also includes photographs of the summer home of William Hugh Coverdale at Lemoine's Point Farm.
Fonds consists of records relating to the operation of the municipality of Frontenac County from 1837 until the 1970s. The fonds has been arranged into the following series: Correspondence; Financial records; County bylaws; County Council Minutes and Proceeedings; Roads and bridges; Education; Tenders; Subject files; Reports; Canadian Patriotic Fund; and, Rigney legal firm. Of particular note is a group picture of Frontenac County Council 1901, members identified, in Council Chamber. Included too, is a Bailiff's Process Book for the 6th Division Court (1887-1905); and Voters' Lists for the Township of Storrington.
The collection consists of maps depicting various counties in Eastern Canada including New Brunswick/Westmoreland, Nova Scotia/Digby, Nova Scotia/Guysborough, Nova Scotia/Inverness, Nova Scotia/Yarmouth, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Ontario/Lanark, Ontario/Leeds and Grenville, Ontario/Lincoln and Welland, Ontario/Ontario, Ontario/Perth, Ontario/Stormont,Dundas, and Ontario/York.
Collection consists of subject files including 'Nursing Notes', Ontario Hospital Nursing tests, notes, and correspondence, Public School Course Books, and scrapbook belonging to Carmel Cosgrove; mass cards; and photographs and photo albums of various members of the Cosgrove family, and the Kingston Dry Dock.
Fonds consists of correspondence to and from Leonard and Reva Brooks; and photographs of Leonard and Reva Brooks, pre-San Miguel de Allende, Leonard Brooks at the New York World's Fair, a sketching trip to Bracebridge with Corry Brigden, Leonard Brooks, and Hopkins Leonard, and Alison and Corry Brigden visiting with the Brooks at Christmas time in San Miguel, and Leornard Brooks and his orchestra at a concert; several posters, some signed by Leonard Brooks, advertising concerts in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Relates to a visit by Robert Frost to Queen's University in 1921. Includes correspondence with Peter Girard, Head, Reference and Information Unit, Douglas Library, Queen's University and two students, Helen Side Renzy and Mary R. Grayt who remembered Frost's visit to the campus.
Collection consists of chronologically arranged general correspondence and memoranda sent directly to the Surveyor General or his successors, the Commissioner of Crown Lands for Upper Canada, Canada West and Ontario or referred to them by other government departments. The contents of this collection concern all aspects of the administration of land in the province, including settlement, roads, and resource development. Each letter is assigned a unique number from 1 to 33,896.
