Fonds consists of legal records such as the Royal Charter and those pertaining to provincial and federal legislation affecting the University; land instruments such as deeds, leases, and agreements, relating to the University; agendas and minutes of the Board of Trustees, the University Senate, and the University Council, as well as for the numerous committees and sub-committees of these bodies; records of Task Forces; records of Principal's Advisory Committee on Race Relations (1990); correspondence with architects; staff award citations; wills; convocation speeches; copies of manuscripts submitted by recipients of the Marty Memorial Scholarship for the publication, 'Still Running'; the 'Domesday Book', including the signatures of a number of honorary degree recipients and other notable visitors to the University over time; a Bible presented to the University by an alumnus to be used at the time of Convocation and other special events; the Letters Patent, for the Armorial Bearings for the Rector of Queen's University at Kingston; ; photographs of Leonard Field, Ban Righ Hall, and the Lower Campus of Queen's University at Kingston taken for easement and property rights matters; photographs of various Brockington Visitors, with members the Brockington Visitorship Committee; and a VHS tape, produced as part of a presentation to the University's Board of Trustees entitled, "The Governance of the University" (1994); film, shot by William Nicholl, consisting mainly of Queen's buildings, and including Kingston City Park, Sir John A. Macdonald's statue, and his grave in Cataraqui Cemetery (1936).

The fonds consists of material from E. A. Prince's early life in Kingston where he attended high school and university. The material spans the Prince's years at Kingston Collegiate Vocational Institute, including musical programs from the K.C.V.I. Glee and Drama Clubs, notes from classes and records from his involvement in Scouting. The University material reflects Prince's continued involvement in the arts - concert programs, theatrical programs - as well as his academic career. Also included are letters between Prince and his family and friends.

Marburn, Belfast, Burn's Cottage, Windermere, Ayr, Alloway, Glasgow, Oxford, London, Salisbury, English Lake District, Stonehenge, Edinburgh, The Trossachs, Stirling, Roslin, Abbotsford, Drysburgh Abbey, Melrose Abbey, Stratford-on-Avon, Southhampton, Versailles, Lille, Brussels, Geneva, and Paris. Of particular note is a photograph of Ignacy Jan Paderewski leaving the League of Nations in Geneva. Also included are old engineering plans, maps and surveys that were collected/acquired by Jack McClelland who was City Engineer for the City of Kingston. Fonds consists of the Queen's Pipe Band 'Pipe Sergeant's Note Book'; a large collection of 35 mm slides documenting various trips and events that the Bands have been involved in, including its participation in the 47th Annual Cotton Bowl Festival Parade in Dallas, Texas (Janaury 1982); copies of the Bands newsletter entitled, 'The Banner', Vol. 1-5 (1972-1977); minutes, correspondence,and memos concerning the planning of the Bands participaiton in the 1982 Grey Cup parade in Toronto, Ontario; lists of former members and their positions in the Bands; names and reminiscences of past Bands members gathered as part of the 'Queen's Bands History Project' and 75th Anniversary celebrations; 'Queen's Bands: 75th Anniversary 1905-1980', a booklet celebrating seventy-five years of the Bands existence; a scrapbook documenting the evolution of the Bands over the years; the 'Queen's Bands Song Book'; and clippings.
