Also includes photographs of the Pierce family and of persons connected with literature and the arts primarily in Canada.
This collection is comprised of memorabilia from the Science Formal of 1974. The theme of the formal was "Lothlorian" from Lord of the Rings. The collection includes drawings of designs and plans for the set-up of the formal, two batik flags which were used as decoration, and a beer stein and set of matches which were made specifically for the formal.
The fonds consists of seven documents detailing the land transactions of Louis Dion dit Dumontier. Also includes details of the original transfer of records, and an item listing.
The fonds consists mainly of material relating to Louis Flynn's involvement with the local heritage community during his time as president of the Kingston Historical Society. There are many talks, speeches and articles pertaining to Kingston and the surrounding area which he created and recieved while fulfilling this capacity as president. Also included is a small amount of personal material relating to the advertisement of his book 'Built on a Rock: The Story of the Roman Catholic Church in Kingston 1826-1976,' and records pertaining to the Bail Assessment Committee which he helped found and served on for a number of years.
