This fonds consists of correspondence, lecture notes, material relating to the Department of English, Grade 13 curriculum development, militia training at Queen's University, C.O.T.C. at Queen's University, National Council of Canadian Universities and other organizations; correspondence, research notes, manuscript relating to his work on William Cowper and Alexander Pope (1965-1972).
The fonds consists of minute books of the Board of Inspectors, daily journal of the warden, correspondence, accounts and receipts for labour of convicts in the penitentiary, punishment record books; hospital records; daily reports; liberation question books; duty rosters; Protestant Chaplain's registers; letter registers; and convict biographical information.
Photocopies of Christmas cards sent by Watson and Hope Kirkconnell each year, designed with personal photographs and poems by Dr. Kirkconnell. The last one, 1977, was signed by Hope Kirkconnell but had a poem by her husband.
The fonds primarily consists of correspondence. Letters to Thomas Kirkpatrick in Kingston from his mother, and other members of his family in Dublin, during the years 1823-1837 make up the bulk of the collection. In addition to personal correspondence there is some professional correspondence relating to Thomas Kirkpatrick's mission to London in 1837 to propose Kingston as the capital of Canada. Also included are photocopies of letters from Stafford Frederick to their brother, Alexander, who remained in Dublin.
Fonds consists of a series of letters addressed to Francis L. Walsh from authors such as W. H. Draper, J.H. Dunn and W. W. Baldwin a year before his death. Also includes a "Blue Book Department" circular dated December 30th, 1843.
