The collection consists of drawings and plans by Andrew Drummond, George Browne, Thomas Rogers, Joseph Power, Robert Gage, John Howard, A.H. Van Straubezee, R. McCausland, Edward Horsey, Shepherd & Calvin, and others. Includes drawings of Cataraqui bridge.
The fonds consists of minute books of the Board of Inspectors, daily journal of the warden, correspondence, accounts and receipts for labour of convicts in the penitentiary, punishment record books; hospital records; daily reports; liberation question books; duty rosters; Protestant Chaplain's registers; letter registers; and convict biographical information.
Photocopies of Christmas cards sent by Watson and Hope Kirkconnell each year, designed with personal photographs and poems by Dr. Kirkconnell. The last one, 1977, was signed by Hope Kirkconnell but had a poem by her husband.
The fonds primarily consists of correspondence. Letters to Thomas Kirkpatrick in Kingston from his mother, and other members of his family in Dublin, during the years 1823-1837 make up the bulk of the collection. In addition to personal correspondence there is some professional correspondence relating to Thomas Kirkpatrick's mission to London in 1837 to propose Kingston as the capital of Canada. Also included are photocopies of letters from Stafford Frederick to their brother, Alexander, who remained in Dublin.
Fonds consists of photographs of 12 blueprints and 6 ink drawings by Robert Findlay, architect, of Montreal, for the summer home of George Benson and family, Rabbit Island, Thousand Islands (1909); 1 blueprint for cabin by E.D.M. McIntosh, 1937; photographs of the Benson family, plus friends and scenes in the Thousand Islands; auction poster, land deed, and three Visitor's Books relating to (Mississagua) Rabbit Island.
