Judging from the dates of the record, there are most likely records also from the Vice-Principal Administration position which had the financial responsibilities of the University prior to the formation of the Vice-Principal Finance.

Four boxes of photographs and negatives, approximately 1705 photographs and 1198 Negatives. The negatives were left in the original wooden box which was constructed for them. The four photo albums contain photos from the “Iroquois Constructors Ltd., Toronto. Construction of the Robert H. Saunders-St. Lawrence Generating Station for the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario. Cornwall, Ontario. 1955-1959.” The photos in these albums were taken by P. Mickles, F.F. Newton and K.D. Morawski.

The collection reflects Isabel's relationship with her family and friends and her involvement in the arts community, both as a patron and as an artist. Isabel's friendship and patronage extended to many well-known Canadian artists, including A.Y. Jackson, Lawren Harris, Anne Savage, Arthur Lismer, Prudence Heward, Yvonne McKague Housser, and Timothy Findley. Her involvement in arts organizations, such as the Art Students' League, the Canadian Group of Painters, the Haliconian Club, and the Robert McLaughlin Gallery, are also reflected in this collection. The fonds consist of the following series: Artistic activities, Cards, Correspondence, Education, Exhibition, Oshawa, Paris, Personal, and Photographs. Also included in this fonds is the sous-fonds of Robert Samuel McLaughlin. This sous-fonds contains material that Isabel had gathered together and seperated from her own records that pertained, or had belonged, to her father, R.S.McLaughlin.

Mainly pertaining to his participation in a variety of social justice groups such as Amnesty International, PEN International, the Thoreau Society, Group of 78, Pugwash, Peace Now, and the International Association of Lawyers Against Nuclear Arms. There is also material reflecting Gertler's letter writing and participation on issues of National Unity in Canada during various French/English debates (referendums, language laws, etc). Also included is some household subject files and personal correspondence.
