This album, which has been dismantled and individually sleeved, conatins scenes of Kingston and surrounding area. Includes photos of Murney Tower, Fort Henry fortifications, Cedar Island, City Park (canons and Sir John A. Macdonald statue), Kingston Mills, Kingston shipyard, the blockhouse at the end of Sydenham Street (aka Rooney Castle) and various waterways around Kingston.
This album contains original photographs of: the unveiling of the Sir John A. Macdonald statue in City Park; a replica of Columbus' ship en route to the World's Fair in Chicago; Kingston Mills - locks and blockhouse; the Thousand Isands; Memorial Hall in Kingston City Hall; Niagara Falls; the Canadian Volunteer Force marching in a parade down King Street, Kingston prior to leaving for South Africa; shipbuilding at the Kingston waterfront; St. Paul's Church; street railways; Fort Henry; Carruthers Hall with observatory; the moving of the city cemetery from Clergy Street (Skeleton Park); Cataraqui cemetery; the Warden's Residence at Kingston Penitentiary; the fire at St. George's Cathedral in 1899; and various family portraits.
Collection consists of photographs of 11 St. Lawrence Street and 198 Stuart Street, prior to their demolition to make space for new campus residences at 194 Stuart Street, Kingston, Ontario; and slides of those houses on University Avenue, Kingston, Ontario, that were either moved to a new location, or were demolished to make way for the new Stauffer Library at Queen's.
The fonds consists of photographs, taken during her days as a student at Queen's University at Kingston, including the Alma Mater Society Election Day parade, the Pajama parade, a football game at the old Richardson Stadium, and several campus buildings.
File contains a portion of a ledger book, various official documents, legal papers, property assessments, correspondence, an abstract of a County of Hastings registry book concerning Lot 37 in the 6th Concession of Sidney, and teaching certificates and contracts for Nina J. Asseltine.
