The fonds consists of notes relating to the cannon on the grounds of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, said to have been used in the seige of Londonderry, 1689 as well as three sound recordings of interviews undertaken with Mr. McRae by Rose Mary Gibson in April and May of 1971. Topics discussed include: McRae family, the Golden Lion Block, various Kingston families (Reids, Chowns, Polsons, Lintons, etc) and various Kingston businesses (james Reid, Steacy's, Bibby's, McNee and Minnes, Hendersons, Crothers, etc).
The fonds consists of speeches delivered by Martin outside the House of Commons, 1947-1948 and 1950-1956, while Minister of National Health and Welfare.

This collection consists of a photocopy of a letter written by Robert Burns to the Duke of Queensberry in 1791 (the original is framed in Special Collections), and the Christie auction catalogue from where the letter was purchased.
Fonds consists of the diaries (2 volumes) of William Smith, containing a detailed narrative of his activities in England and his first seven months in Quebec dated January 1784 to May 1787. The entries cover events, institutions, political affairs and descriptions of persons encountered by W. Smith. The first volume includes one of the only accounts of Canadian affairs from a London vantage point given that the papers of Sir Guy Carleton were destroyed. The second volume deals predominantly with Quebec.
