Joseph Philippe Rene Adolphe Caron fonds
The fonds consists of a letterbook that contains nearly 200 letters and drafts of correspondence concerning politics or Caron's legal and business dealings. They cast some light on the political machinations of the day and in particular on Caron's unsuccessful campaign in Bellechasse in 1872, and the contest which preceded his election for Quebec County in the following year.

Includes some pen and ink drawings by Professor Shortt, a copy of 'Kingston Illustrated' (1912) and picture of Sand Hills, Prince Edward County, 1840's. Also contains a watercolour sketch by Muriel Shortt of Kingston martello towers (Market and Cedar Island), and a photocopy of a genealogy of the Shortt family.
