Fonds consists of business ledgers from the Barker Grist and Saw Mill, General Store, and Funeral Home located in Arden, Kennebec Township, Ontario; land records relating to Joseph Barker; clippings of the Barker family including John B., W.O. Clark, and Frank Barker; photographs.
The collection consists of correspondence of explorers who surveyed the boundary zones between Canada and the United States, and of several other diplomats, officers and aids who became involved in the arbitration of the border. There are also several bound and unbound manuscripts, including various treaties, arguments, awards, memorials and commissioners' proceedings relating to settlements of the Canadian-American border.
The fonds consists of 25 photographs, with negatives, from a family album dated 1895-1906. Images include Queen's University campus views, interiors and exteriors of Kingston homes on Alwington and Bagot streets and Victoria School.
