The first section is in the form of an acount book for the period from February to April, 1875. The remainder is a journal written between June and July, 1879, and is entitled The Men of '98 : the Wexford Insurrection. Although the notes are written in the first person, it is unlikely that Bolger is the original author. File also contains letters referring to the contents of the journal and to Thomas Bolger.
