Fonds consists of photographs taken by Jack Chiang for the Kingston Whig-Standard and other projects. These photographs cover news events of regional, national and international significance. The fonds includes photos of many prominent individuals, most Ontario political conventions in the 1980s, and many Kingston-area landmarks. Also included are slides taken for Mr. Chiang's book, 'Images of Kingston,' aerial photographs taken for the Kingston Whig-Standard feature "Where We Live,"and wedding photos taken at his commercial studio, Pro Photo, as well as personal papers and family photos.
Fonds consists of photographs of Kingston, Ontario including the front and rear of the Grand Theatre, and surrounding buildings on Princess Street, and off of Brock Street now occupied by the Chown Parking Garage; Cooke's United Church, located on Brock Street; the north-west corner of Monreal and Brock Streets; and the Jeanne Mance Wing of the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Brock Street.
An indexed and bound volume of letters (copies) between Kipling and J.W. Barry, 1932-1936 along with a copy of "Supplication of the Black Aberdeen" by Kipling and "A Reader's Guide to Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories for Little Children" compiled by R.E. Harbord.
The collection consists of prints and negatives of original blueprints, created by the New York architectural firm of Warren & Whetmore, for Midriver Farm, Grindstone Island, New York, as commissioned by the owner Charles Bohlen.
The fonds consists of pictures that document events and architecture in and around Kingston, including: Tercentenary celebrations; old fashioned hockey games; City Hall; Frontenac County Court House; Registry Office; Kingston Folklore celebrations; Bellevue House; Winterfest; Olympic Harbour; Millford; Marysburgh; and various other nature scenes. Some of these photos appear to be the result of photographic club field trips or assignments.
This collection consists of the 'Canadian National Railways: Report of Operations, 1919-1921.' This document provides a detailed account of all operations of the railroad for the three years following the consolidation and reorganization, by Order-in-Council (September 1918) of the Canadian Government and Canadian Northern Railways (November 1918) and the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway (July 1920).
Fonds consists of digital images, with accompanying descriptive booklet, assembled from colour slides and monochrome photographs taken prior to, and following, the flooding of Aultsvile, Ontario by the St.Lawrence Seaway and Power Development project.
