The fonds consists of files relating to the Airport Inquiry Commission appointed by the federal government in 1970 to inquire into the transportation needs of the Central Ontario market. In addition to evidence at public hearings, the Papers contain many of the studies prepared for the Commission as well as other exhibits filed with the Commission. The fonds also contains a copy of the Report of the Commission of Inquiry into Certain Allegations concerning commercial practices of the Canadian Dairy Commission.

The fonds consists of journals, notes and data relating to Hugh Le Caine's work with the National Research Council, as well as correspondence, programmes and awards relating to Trudi Le Caine's work in the Arts community in Ottawa. Also included is correspondence to Maria and Arnold Walter, among which is a postcard to Arnold from Carl Orff. There are also artistic and experimental photographs and drawings by Hugh. Recordings of compositions by Arnold Walter and Hugh can also be found in this fonds. Other personal records, such as home movies and photographs, are also available.

The fonds consists of black and white photographs, colour slides, black and white negatives, and contact sheets of examples of early Upper Canadian and Ontario furniture from a number of European and North American traditions including Anglo-American, German, Polish, French-Canadian, and others. These images were taken during the course of research for the author's book, 'The Heritage of Upper Canadian Furniture: A Study in the Survival of Formal and Vernacular Styles from Britain, America and Europe, 1780-1900', first published in 1978.
