There appears to be a similarity between this document and the text of 'Relation de la prise des forts de Choueguen ou Oswego,et de ce qui s'est passe cette annee en Canada. 1756.' The second text was printed by Cuchet, Grenoble, France.

Location of original manuscript unknown, however portions of Dorothea's story was published as a series of articles in the "Coos County Democrat" (1859-1862), North Stratford, New Hampshire.
