The correspondence contains many family letters: Lorne Pierce, Mrs. Harriet Pierce (L.P. 's mother), Mrs. Chester (L.P. 's sister Sara), Reverend Eldred Chester, Grandmother Conley, Charlotte Conley, Lucinda Pierce. Alice Chown, Edith Pierce's brother Gordon Chown, as well as her children, nieces, nephews and friends.

Clippings of family news , news of Kingston and Delta, Ont, and the various places where Mrs-. Chester (Sara Pierce) and her family lived. There are a great number of poems and columns clipped from newspapers, including a series entitled "Memories of Kingston" which mentions the Chown family, and an article on the Queen' s Medical Faculty.
