1940 Assessment Roll, Municipality of Ernesttown

File consists of the assessment roll for Ernesttown. Each page lists the client's name, occupation and address, a description and assessment of their property, their religion, number of persons and dogs in their family and male persons from the age of 21 to 60. At the back is the Oath of the Assessor signed by John T Wilson.

1939 Assessment Roll, Municipality of Ernesttown

File consists of the assessment roll for Ernesttown. Inserted at the front of the book is a blank Tax Bill from 1938, with some sums scribbled on the back. Each page of the book itself lists the client's name, occupation and address, a description and assessment of their property, their religion, the number of persons and dogs in the family, and the number of men between the ages of 21 and 60. Wards 1 through 6 are represented. At the end is an incomplete affidavit by V.W. Vandervoort. Inserted into the back of the book is an extension, with a continuation of assessments for Ward 6.

Each page in the book itself lists the client's name, occupation and address, a description and assessment of their property, their religion, number of persons and dogs in their family and male persons from the age of 21 to 60. Wards 1 through six are represented. The Oath of the Assessor is signed by Sidney W. Clark. At the back is a note to W.C. Snider from Arch McCracken declaring Mr McCracken's intention to appeal his assessment because he believed it to be "to [sic] for the value of the property".

Inserted at the front of the book are poll books numbers 2a (empty), 3, and 6 (blank); the third book lists eligible voters for the January election of 1935, and contains a leaflet with oaths to be sworn by men of various occupations at the back. In the assessment roll itself, each page lists the client's name, occupation and address, a description of their property and its assessed value, the number of people and dogs in the family, and their religion. Wards 1 through 6 are represented. At the end of the book is the Oath of the Assessor, Sidney W. Clark.
