Relates to the 'particulars of an incident in the life of William Lyon Mackenzie that took place at my father's house, lot 1, 2nd Con. New Survey, Trafalgar Tp. Halton Co. Ont.' At the time of the incident described in the letter, William Lyon Mackenzie was travelling west "after the discomforture that [had] occurred near Montgomery's hotel, Little York (Toronto)." Persons also mentioned in the letter include: John Wilkinson, Colonel Chrisholm, and Dr. Rolph.
