Biographical history
George Jacobs Low, Clergyman and author, was born in 1836 at Almonte, Ontario. Low was rector of St. Paul's Church in Almonte amd later was rector of Trinity Church in Billings Bride. He was also Canon of Christ Church Cathedral in Ottawa. Low received his Bachelor of Divinity from Trinity College. He also received an honorary D.D degree from Queen's in 1898. He died in 1906.

Scope and content
The fonds consists of correspondence, news clippings and drafts of poetry, essays and addresses. Some of correspondence refers to the liberal movement in theology within the Anglican Church. There is also some correspondence of Mildred Low, the daughter of George Low.
