Fonds consists of correspondence, including letters home to his wife during his time overseas in WWII; sermons, extending over half a century as well as many dating from his time as a Navy Chaplin; writings; research notes and lectures, from his time at Queen's University as an educator; photographs; subject files, both personal and professonial; prayers; and diaries, dating from 1921 until 1984.

The fonds consists of photocopies of a series of diaries containing an almost daily holograph record of the activities of the farm near Brockville, Ont., and surrounding district.

There is a large number of pamphlets, addresses and publication, relating specifically to commercial union, continental union, and Canada First; material relating to Goldwin Smith; a typewritten draft of Gregory's projected autobiography, which he never completed; as well as several letter-books, scrapbooks and diaries.

The fonds consists of diaries and letters covering his entire life as pastor in a pioneer community.

Fonds consists of correspondence, to and from, his parents, his wife Elizabeth Tatchell, and numerous friends and colleagues; subject files; diaries; manuscripts; books and articles; addresses and lectures; records relating to his time as an Historical Officer in the Canadian Army during the Second World War, as a professor in the department of History at Queen's University at Kingston, and his Retirement Dinner in 1970 from Queen's; and photographs. There is also a very interesting series of letters relating to Captain John Hamilton Brown, as well as an armband of the Dutch Forces of the Interior.

The item is a photocopy of a diary which relates to the working and personal life of William Hendry Ranson. The diary appears to have be put to paper in 1903, but is perhaps based on, or a compilation of, other notebooks and diaries, as the detail of the material (such as specific dates and times) appears to be too precise for mere recollection. The diary has no entries for dates between 1899 and 1914. The subject matter of the diary covers Ranson's military service, his work with the Brockville and Ottawa Rail, and the distillery as well as events such as his children's birthdays, deaths of friends and family, and other holidays. Entries for Christmas day, New Year's day, and his wedding annivesary tend to include more personal information.

The fonds consists of the following microfilmed series of King Papers: Primary correspondence (J1), 1889-1950; Memoranda and notes (J4), 1887-1950; Speeches (J5), 1899-1950; Family correspondence (J7), 1880-1950; Spiritualism (J9), 1919-1950; and Diaries (J13), 1893-1950. Also included is a series of original press clippings (1935-1951) amassed and retained by Mackenzie King.
