Biographical history
Alan James came to Queen's University from Perth, Ontario in 1929. He graduated with an Arts B.A. in 1933. For fifty years Al James worked in his family business which consisted of hardware and fishing tackle; two garages and auto agencies; a foundry; two ice arenas; and billboards in ten towns in Eastern Ontario. He passed away in 2000.

This photographic album records, in images, Al James' time at Queen's. From early pictures of student and campus life in the 1930's, through to the 60th Reunion of Arts '33 on Homecoming Weekend in 1993.
