William Keppel was a politician, rather than a soldier as the rest of his family. He served as a member of parliament for many years and held the office of Under Secretary for War in 1878. Superintendent of Indian Affairs for Canada, 1854-1856, in combination with office of Civil Secretary. Member of British House of Commons, 1857-65 and 1868-74. Styled as "Viscount Bury" from 1851-91, when he succeeded to the title of 7th Earl of Albemarle. Author of " Exodus of the Western Nations," 1865.

William Coutts Keppel, 7th Earl of Albemarle KCMG, PC (15 April 1832 – 28 August 1894), styled Viscount Bury between 1851 and 1891, was a British soldier and politician. He served in the British Army before entering parliament in 1857. Initially a Liberal, he served as Treasurer of the Household between 1859 and 1866 in the Liberal administrations headed by Lord Palmerston and Lord Russell. He later switched to the Conservatives and held office as Under-Secretary of State for War under Lord Beaconsfield between 1878 and 1880 and under Lord Salisbury between 1885 and 1886.

Born on October 29, 1921 in Perth, Ontario, Emma Campbell was the daughter of James and Jenny Acheson, and sister of Annie (Acheson) Fournier. Emma Campbell graduated as a registered nurse in 1943 from the Brockville General Hospital and spent much of her career as an operating room nurse. She passed away July 28, 2011.

Born in 1922, Thomas Worrall Kent has been a newspaper and magazine editor, Liberal Party policy maker and principal assistant to the late Prime Minister Lester Pearson. Kent attended Corpus Christi College, Oxford, graduating with a first-class Honours B.A. in 1941 and receiving an M.A. in 1950. During the latter part (1942-1945) of World War II he was engaged in intelligence service. From 1946-1950 he was on the editorial staff of the Manchester Guardian and in 1950 moved to The Economist as Assistant Editor. In 1954 he came to Canada to be the editor of the Winnipeg Free Press. After the defeat of the St. Laurent government he became active in the Liberal Party, serving as policy consultant from 1961 to 1963. At various times he was Co-Ordinator of Programming and Policy Secretary to the Prime Minister (1963-65), Deputy Minister of Manpower and Immigration (1966-68) and Deputy Minister of Regional Economic Expansion (1968-71). In 1971 he left Ottawa to be President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cape Breton Development Corporation. From 1980 to 1983 he was Dean of the Faculty of Administraive Studies, Dalhousie University. From 1992 to 2011, he was associated with the School of Policy Studies at Queen's University.

John Harvey Kent was born in 1909 and graduated from Queen's University in 1930 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and in 1934 with a Masters of Arts degree. He continued his studies in Chicago completing his PhD. He eventually went on to become a professor at the University of Vermont. He died in 1966.
