Joseph Frederick Madden came to Kingston from Kirkland Lake. He worked at the Kingston Whig-Standard for 40 years starting in the advertising department and ending his career as the general manager and editor of the newspaper.
Margaret Bignell has been the Conservator at Queen's University Archives since 198-.
Alan James came to Queen's University from Perth, Ontario in 1929. He graduated with an Arts B.A. in 1933. For fifty years Al James worked in his family business which consisted of hardware and fishing tackle; two garages and auto agencies; a foundry; two ice arenas; and billboards in ten towns in Eastern Ontario. He passed away in 2000.
